College/noncollege’relative supply and wage differential. The composition adjusted college wage premium is calculated using Quadros de Pessoal data, sorted into gender-education-potential experience groups. We have two gender, five education and four potential experience groups. Mean log wages for broader groups in each year represent weighted averages of the relevant cell means using a fixed set of weights equal to the mean share of total employment for each group over 1984-2009. The detrended supply and wage series are the residuals from separate OLS regressions of the relative supply and relative wage measures on a constant and a linear trend.
